Viator Names Two Seasoned Executives to Management Team: Phillipa Harrison, Global Head of Product, and Jeff Lewis, Vice President of Engineering Join

Both Harrison and Lewis will be based in Sydney, Australia, working in close coordination with the teams in Viator's San Francisco headquarters and its regional offices in Las Vegas and London.

These are newly elevated and expanded global roles for Viator that reflect the company's continued growth, supported by more than $10 million investment during the last 18 months. As with other management, Harrison and Lewis' oversight will include the company's direct-to-consumer retail site (www.viator.com), Viator affiliate relationships which include travel partners like British Airways, Fairmont Hotels and Priceline.com that sell Viator products through their own websites, and LookTours, a leading provider of discounted Las Vegas destination activities the company acquired last June.

Phillipa Harrison - Viator Global Head of Product

Phillipa Harrison has joined Viator as the company's global head of Product based in the Sydney office, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the travel industry. In this role, Harrison oversees global product management and tour operator relationships as well as aspects of Viator's business development activities and sales and marketing. Prior to joining Viator, Harrison was with Base Backpackers Group for nearly four years, most recently as general manager of the company's Backpackers World Travel unit, which specializes in backpacker and student adventure travel around Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. In this role, Harrison was responsible for managing a retail chain of 30 outlets and a staff of 120, and secured significant funding for joint marketing initiatives from key suppliers. From 1996 to 2003, Harrison was with STA Travel, where she most recently headed up the global wholesale arm of the business based in London. She held earlier sales and marketing positions with Trailfinders UK, and Contiki Holidays, UK. Harrison received a bachelor's in Mass Communication and Psychology from Macquarie University in Sydney and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Jeff Lewis - Vice President of Engineering

A native of Canada, Jeff Lewis brings more than 14 years of engineering management and entrepreneurial experience to Viator. As vice president of Engineering, Lewis is responsible for the development and management of the e-commerce and data management systems that are the cornerstone of Viator's operations. Most recently, Lewis was head of software solutions for The Frame Group Pty Limited, an end-to-end technology services provider of design and integration solutions and application development based in Sydney. Previously, he was chief technology officer for Hothouse Interactive, a strategic online business solutions company. In 2000, Lewis founded and served as CEO of Chiizu Pty Ltd, a software technology and services provider for photofinishers, professional photographers and consumers, until he sold the intellectual property license to Fujifilm Australia in 2003. This was the second company Lewis sold within a four-year timeframe. In 1995, Lewis founded ZIVO Pty Ltd, a leading web solution firm, just two years after completing his undergraduate studies. Lewis sold ZIVO to LibertyOne Pty Ltd. in 1999. Lewis received his bachelor's in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and is an MBA candidate at the Australian Graduate School of Management, University of NSW.
